Our Shop Volunteers
New volunteers are always welcome. Whatever time you have to offer - as little or as much - we will put your skills to use and value your contribution. And volunteering is a great way to get involved in village life, make or catch up with friends, have fun and build confidence.

Volunteering to serve in the Shop or Bar

Other volunteering work
There are lots of other jobs (apart from working in the Shop or Bar). Some jobs are regular while others are occasional - for example:
ordering/collecting supplies
inputting data/bar codes into the IT system
cake and craft making
coffee mornings
stock rotation
cleaning
web editing, social media posting
window display
looking after the outside space, including the garden
serving on the management committee
Volunteering for Coffee Mornings and Fund-Raising Events
Volunteers organise several coffee mornings and other fund-raising events during the year. We always need volunteers to help run these as well those able to make and donate cakes and other scrummy items to sell.
Volunteering to help refurbish our Shop and Bar - 2027
After more than 10 years of heavy use, we need to refurbish the bar and parts of the shop . Lots of building/property maintenance skills will be needed - if you have roofing, painting, plumbing, carpentry skills, please let us know.
Volunteers make our Shop and Bar what it is - a social hub and a much needed amenity for our village. Volunteering also looks great on a CV if you’re considering paid employment.
